Micro Theatre’s contingency plans for COVID-19 Public Health Orders
Back when it looked like NSW had COVID-19 under control we decided to present Micro Theatre in February 2021 as part of the New Annual arts festival being held here in Newcastle.
We are currently proceeding with Micro Theatre (with our fingers crossed). The health of our audience and participants is paramount, and we will abide by all health orders.
BUT you may be asking, what plans are in place in case the Public Health Orders change and / or Micro Theatre needs to cancel?
1. Not all tickets are currently on sale
We do not have all possible tickets on sale as rules regarding venue capacity may change. More tickets will be available closer to the date if health orders allow.
2. Refund Policy
Refunds on purchased tickets will be available up to 24 hours before the event, less the 1.5% non-refundable administration fee. We have adopted this policy as a goodwill gesture so if you are unwell and cannot attend or have been in a declared COVID hotspot, you are not penalised. Please do not take advantage of it because you suddenly receive a better offer!
3. Filming the short plays
If the 2021 Micro Theatre Festival cannot progress, we will not reschedule. In the event we have to cancel, we will record each short play and post it on YouT
ube for your viewing pleasure, accessible from our website. Directors and actors have commenced rehearsals. We want to celebrate and acknowledge their work.
Please note: Patrons acknowledge that while venues take all reasonable health and safety precautions to keep the audience, staff and performers safe, patrons enter at their own risk without recourse to claim against the venue or Micro Theatre regarding health outcomes.
